Bringing the queer disabled community into the limelight.
Bringing the queer disabled community into the limelight.
10 years old. New year's day.
Which is normally a pretty normal day other than a good nap.
Got home to my Dad's house and took this nap.
I woke up surrounded by EMTs in the most confused state I had ever been in.
I had had a seizure.
I was diagnosed with Epilepsy that day.
My life changed forever.
I didn't even know what Epilepsy was at that point.
I may never be able to drive.
People ask how I deal, but almost 10 years later everything is normal to me. I don't much remember a time without seizures.
I am doing well, for anyone concerned.
My "disability" has not held me back.
As a queer nonbinary disabled person,
I aim to advocate for those who feel alone, those who feel they are not represented, and those who feel that their struggles aren't as valid simply because they aren't as visible.
I aim to be the person who understands.
I aim to be the person who listens.
I aim to be someone advocates.
I aim to be what a model truly should be:
someone to look up to.
I have four siblings all of whom are older than me, so I've got a lot to live up to. We are all either musicians, actors, artists, or all three.
I think we can thank my beautiful mother for that. Mom, we miss you so much every day. Looking at pictures of you from when you were my age is what inspired me to be a model. Thank you, I love you.
Dad, you motivate me every day to keep doing what I'm doing and to never stop believing. Thank you for helping me set this website up and investing in my future, I love you.
As for me, I've always loved fashion, music, art, acting, and everything creative you could possibly think of.
I played viola for four years in school (which I'm not very good at, but can still play), was in choir in school, and I taught myself ukulele when COVID started.
I am very supportive of workers' rights, and I recently had to be bed-ridden for a week and a half, which affected my walking more than I thought it would. I called out and apparently, over the week I had been gone, a very disrespectful person had been hired as a supervisor. Let's just say, I quit the day I was supposed to go back.
It lit a fire under me, and here I am with my own website.
